Quinoa flakes 350 g

Celnat quinoa flakes are made up of whole cereal grains, cleaned and peeled and then steamed, which makes them very easy to use. Unlike rice or wheat, quinoa is not a grass. It can be considered a "pseudo-cereal". A source of protein, these quinoa flakes are rich in fiber. The term "quinoa" comes from Quechua, a language spoken by the Incas which means "mother of all grains". A sacred plant of the Incas, quinoa has largely contributed to the expansion of this great civilization. Quinoa was and remains one of the rare plants able to survive in the inhospitable environment of the Andean Altiplano. It is still cultivated today on the highlands of Bolivia. In the 1970s, Westerners discovered this grain, whose protein content is remarkable. It is recommended to consume at breakfast (müeslis,…), as an accompaniment or added in soups, gratins, in the dough to make vegetable pancakes, cakes and breads.
