Productveiligheidsinformatie

Raadpleeg de onderstaande productveiligheidsinformatie die specifiek is voor dit product

De volgende informatie wordt verstrekt door de onafhankelijke externe detailhandelaar die dit product verkoopt.

Veiligheidswaarschuwingen:
  • ✅ PET SAFE PLANT
  • Toxicity: Hoya caudata, like all Hoya species, is generally considered NON-TOXIC to cats, dogs, and other pets. The ASPCA classifies the Hoya genus as non-toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. Although chewing or ingesting large amounts of plant material may cause mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea, occasional vomiting), this species does not pose a serious toxic risk to animals.
  • Human Safety: Generally non-toxic to humans. Safe around children. Like all Hoya species, this plant produces a milky, latex-like sap when the stems or leaves are cut or damaged. This sap may cause minor skin irritation or contact dermatitis in sensitive individuals. Wear gloves when cutting or taking cuttings. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling cut stems. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Some sources state that the sap can cause stomach upset if ingested in significant amounts – keep out of reach of small children as a precaution.
  • Important Note: The large, attractively patterned leaves may pique the curiosity of pets and children. While safe, the mature, stiff leaves are surprisingly fragile, despite their leathery appearance – repeated handling can cause them to break, and the plant's moderate growth rate will take time to replace them. A hanging basket or raised shelf are the safest display options.
  • Fragrance Note: When in bloom, Hoya caudata produces a sweet, honey-like fragrance that is strongest in the evening. Its intensity is moderate and generally well tolerated, but those sensitive to sweet floral scents should be aware that the fragrance peaks in the evening. Good ventilation minimizes the concentration of the fragrance.
