Remove about 5cm of topsoil, then dig the soil up to 13 cm deep. And clean up all the organic impurities in the soil which will affect the test results, such as leaves, roots and so on. 2. Hydrate the ground with water to make it muddy. (Better to use rain or distilled water.) 3. Set the function key to the rightmost position (for fertility analysis: leftmost). 4. Wet the probe. Wipe one of the three rightmost probes with a clean cotton sheet (for fertility analysis: wipe all probes). 5. a) For pH analysis: fully insert the probe into the soil to be tested. Wait 1 minute to read data. b) For fertility analysis: insert the probe into the soil until the distance between the main unit and the soil is less than 2.5 cm. Wait up to 10s, read data when the pointer is stable. 6. After the test, wipe the probe and dry it.
