The Newell C4 Supra is a universal charger that is compatible with most commercially available cylindrical batteries. The LCD display shows the voltage, current, charging time, internal resistance and the percentage of charge of the cell - all this allows you to easily determine the parameters and status of the process. The specially designed housing allows for simultaneous charging of even the largest batteries (type C or 22650) in all four channels simultaneously. Automatic or manual selection of the optimal current By default, the charger automatically determines the charging current based on the characteristics of the battery. It is also possible to manually set the intensity. Battery type selection Newell Smart C4 automatically recognizes the battery type: 4.2 V Li-ion and 1.48 V NiMH / NiCd batteries. LiFEP04 and 4.35 V Li-ion batteries are not automatically detected. In order to charge these batteries, the type must be entered manually. Measurement of internal resistance and cell capacity Before charging, the device measures the internal resistance and estimates the capacity of the cell. Both values are presented on the LCD display. Professional capacity calculation After completing the charging, we can read the estimated battery capacity on the display. The charger also allows a more precise calculation of capacity through the charging and discharging process (only available on channel 4). Numerous security features Protection against incorrect insertion of the battery and short-circuit, as well as automatic stopping of charging when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging, make the process safe and energy-saving. Repair of over-discharged lithium-ion batteries Most chargers are not able to charge over-discharged or 0V cells. After detecting such a cell, Newell Smart C4 will attempt to reactivate and repair the lithium-ion battery. Unfortunately, cells discharged below a certain level are destroyed and reactivation may not be possible.
