This voltage converter is compact and practical, greatly improving work efficiency. 5、APPLICABLE SCENES: When you need a large amount of 5V power supply, this boost module can come in handy and is very suitable for battery power projects with 2S or 3S alkaline batteries or a single lithium battery. The chip integrates almost all functions, including dual 3A MOSFET switches. Please note that the switch will not tell you the maximum output, refer to the below! We have set the feedback resistor to provide a 5.2V output, slightly higher than 5V, which helps to address voltage drop across cables. We have measured input and output currents and maximum consumption with desktop power supplies and electronic loads: 300mA maximum current output at 5V when input is 2V DC (minimum input voltage for start boost module) 500mA maximum current output at 5V when input is 2.5V DC (2 NiMH rechargeable batteries) 800mA maximum current output at 5V when input is 3V DC (2 alkaline batteries or a close to depleted LiPo) 1100mA maximum current output at 5V when input is 3.5V DC (polymer lithium nominal voltage) 1400mA maximum current output at 5V when input is 4V DC (3 NiMH, or new polymer lithium) Most people will want to use LiPo or Li ion battery with a nominal voltage of 3.7V. Here is the efficiency at this voltage: 5.2V 100mA output requires 3.7V 160mA input (88%) 5.2V 250mA output requires 3.7V 400mA input (88%) 5.2V 500mA output requires 3.7V 800mA input (88%) 5.2V 1000mA output requires 3.7V 1800mA input (78%) As you can see, when the lower current is about 500mA or lower, buzz will up about 88%. You can get 1A, but efficiency will drop a bit to 78%. You will get a fully assembled splitter containing the TPS61023 and components and a small number of splice connectors. 3-5V voltage is provided on the IN and ground pins. Then the OUT pin will have a 5V voltage. The enable pin can be pulled down to disable the output, which is a real disconnect, so the output will be completely powered off.
