About this item Our pneumatic lid support hinges are designed for lids weighing between 40-50 lbs. These heavy-duty gas struts provide smooth and controlled lid closure, ideal for trunks, toy boxes, storage benches, and similar applications. Each set supports a maximum weight of 22.7 kg (50 lbs) with two pieces, offering 200 N (44 lbs of force per bar). Constructed from durable cold-rolled steel with a satin nickel finish for long-lasting performance. Note: The hinges are reversible. If it appears you received two right-handed units, simply remove the disc screw, flip the bracket, and reinstall to convert to left-handed orientation. Suitable for lids up to 50 lbs; for lids under 25 lbs, one hinge may be sufficient. Contents: Set of 2 lid support hinges (includes mounting screws). Installation: Position the hinges on your lid or door to determine optimal placement. Open and close the lid while manually guiding the gas spring to test motion range. It is recommended to have two people during installation. Attach one end of the gas spring first, test the movement, then securely mount the other end once proper alignment is confirmed.
