This FZ0508 programming seat adapter serves as a universal interface between Microchip’s PICKit 2, PICKit 3 and ICD2 programmers and target PIC microcontrollers. It uses a standard USB interface running at full-speed 12 Mbps for efficient host-to-device data transfer. Its programmable voltage range spans 2.0 V to 6.0 V, making it suitable for both legacy 5 V parts and modern low-power 2 V PIC devices. The unit fully supports reading and writing of program memory and data memory, enabling full firmware manipulation. A built-in electrical safety system monitors for over-voltage and short-circuit events in real time. Firmware upgrades are performed via PC or web download, preserving long-term utility. The housing is made from impact-resistant plastic, optimised for durability in educational labs, prototyping benches and small-batch production settings.
