Description

Turnout Motor (Switch Machine)The most reliable, discrete and simple method is to clip one of these directly to the underside of a Peco turnout. Requires a rectangular hole 40mm x 24mm.Unless you are running clockwork or live-steam trains on your layout, electricity plays a major part in keeping the trains running. You may also have accessories like signals or lights that run on electricity, including operation of your points. This point motor from Peco mounts under the baseboard and has an operating pin that passes through an elongated hole in the baseboard and fits into the hole in the tie-bar of the point. It requires a pulse of electricity to operate and this can easily be provided via a Peco PL-26 passing contact switch.
