This cable is a universal adapter designed for use with Maxisys, LAUNCH X431, and OBDSTAR scanners. Programming Cable with 12+8 Connector for Maxisys and LAUNCH X431 Series. The 12+8 adapter is used to interface with vehicles equipped with a Security Gateway Module that restricts aftermarket scan tools to reading DTCs and viewing data only. Vehicles from 2018 and newer, including certain models from RAM, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and others, are equipped with a secure gateway module. This may limit scan tool functionality, preventing bidirectional control. This adapter helps enable full communication when used with compatible diagnostic tools. Suitable for: 1. Maxisys Series Scanners: Such as MS906, MS906BT, MS906TS, MS908, MS908S, MS908S PRO, Maxisys Elite, and other compatible models. 2. LAUNCH X431 Series Scanners: Such as X431 V, X431 V+, X431 PROS, X431 PRO3S+, X431 PRO3S+ HDIII Model, X431 PAD V, and other compatible models.
